Register a Limited Company UK
Same-Day Online Formation — Official Companies House Authorized Agent
Registering a UK limited company is the fastest way to build a professional business presence. A UK Ltd is its own legal entity. This means your business finances stay separate from your personal money.
This setup gives you limited liability protection. Your personal assets, property, and savings stay safe — no matter what happens with the business.
You can file directly with Companies House. But using an approved agent like UK LTD Registration is faster, simpler, and less likely to be rejected.
Direct filings often have errors that cause delays, such as:
- Wrong SIC codes
- Missing director details
- Invalid office address
Our system checks every detail before submission. This helps you get same-day approval.

What You'll Need to Register
Prepare these 6 essential requirements before starting your online application.
Company Name
Pick a unique name ending in "Limited" or "LTD". It cannot match or closely resemble any name already on the register. Restricted words are also not allowed. Use our free checker to verify yours right away.
Registered Office Address
A real UK address where legal notices and HMRC letters are sent. P.O. Boxes are not accepted. Want to keep your home address private? Choose a package with a W1 or EC1 London address.
Director Details
You need at least one director aged 16 or over. They are the legal officer of the company. You will need their:
- Full name and date of birth
- Home address and nationality
- Service address
Shareholder Details
At least one shareholder who owns the company. This can be the same person as the director. You will need their personal details plus simple security answers (e.g. birth town, eye colour) for the electronic signature.
Standard Industrial Code (SIC)
A five-digit code that describes what your business does. Companies House uses it to sort registered companies. Use our search hub to find your code in seconds.
Share Structure
Decide how many shares to issue, their value, and what rights they carry. Most companies start with 100 ordinary shares at £1.00 each. This makes it simple to split ownership later.

After Registration — Next Steps
Complete these 5 steps after formation to get your business running and stay compliant.
Open a Business Bank Account
By law, you must keep company money separate from personal funds. We offer fast-track links to open an account with Tide, Revolut, Monzo, or Wise.
Register for VAT
You must register for VAT if your turnover is over £90,000 per year. Even below that, many businesses register voluntarily. It can boost credibility and let you reclaim costs.
Set Up Payroll (PAYE)
Planning to pay yourself a salary or hire staff? You will need a PAYE scheme from HMRC. This handles National Insurance and income tax for you.
Appoint an Accountant
A good accountant helps you save on Corporation Tax, file your accounts on time, and follow UK accounting rules.
File an Annual Confirmation Statement
Once a year, you must file a Confirmation Statement (CS01). This tells Companies House that your address, shareholders, and directors are still correct.
